Tommaso Gagliardoni is an Italian mathematician with a background in hacktivism and computer security, and a particular focus in privacy, cryptography, and quantum information theory. He studied at the University of Perugia, (one of the oldest universities in the world, with over 700 years of history), started programming at young age on his Commodore 64, got involved in the Italian cybersecurity and e-zines scene, and collaborated in investigative journalism and academic initiatives. He received his PhD in cryptography at the Technical University of Darmstadt, one of the leading academic centers for cybersecurity in Europe, and worked at IBM Research before joining Swiss cybersecurity company Kudelski Security as a Cryptography Expert in 2019. Over his career, Tommaso published many peer-reviewed papers at high-ranking academic venues, interacted with different customers and research teams in the public and private sectors, and spoke at various cryptography conferences and events.
